Big Dreams

I was always a very ambitious kid…when I was five, I wanted to be a mermaid, as I loved the ocean so much. At seven years old I came to terms with reality that I would never be a mythical creature, so instead I dreamt of becoming a marine biologist. However, when we moved to the Southern Alps of New Zealand, far, far away from the ocean, my love for water and surfing the sea was replaced for my love of snow and surfing in the mountains.

I dreamt that one day I could travel the world chasing mountain peaks and become the best skier I could possibly be. I never knew that that dream would lead me to becoming a Winter Olympian. It is important to have dreams, no matter how crazy and unrealistic they may seem. Dreams give us hope for the future, they inspire us, they motivate us to become our best selves. I am really stoked to be supporting the MRST athletes to reach their dreams by donating some artwork for their fundraiser. My hope is that my artwork inspires others to Dream Big, just like I did!
